Dearest Reader, I am letting you in on a secret. So lean in close and get ready because I am sharing with you a project coming in 2025. My second book will be published next year on a date to be determined. Enjoy this morsel of the upcoming feast!

We don’t have problems; we have opportunities to learn, grow, adapt, and evolve. The mentality of having problems comes from the lack of knowing how to deal with what is in front of us. Also, it is rooted in thinking all is out to get you instead of seeing how it could benefit you. Instead of thinking “I have this problem and that,” we can train ourselves when situations come, “What can I learn? How can I grow? How to adapt? And how can I evolve?”
Am I denying hardships, trials, and disappointments? Not at all. Bad things happen to us all. We all experience trials of many kinds, and disappointments are to be expected. We will never help ourselves get over them if we let what we are going through give us a problem mentality. If we train ourselves to have an opportunity mentality, we open up so many possibilities and gain a rare bird’s eye view of the situation and life. This is the definition of “All things work out for good.” Romans 8:28..
"And we know that Yahweh works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
Take a moment and recall a situation that would be considered a problem. Got like 50 different ones, right? That's okay, as it is to be expected due to the fact that life is hard and there is so much to learn. Now, I want you to think of this situation and ask yourself instead of “Why am I going through this?” or “It will never change,” or whatever the whisper of the problem would tell you. I want you to ask, “What could I learn from this?” Take a moment. Do you have something? If so, good, we are headed in the right direction. If you don't, you are probably a big reason you are going through what you are experiencing. This requires being willing to be humble and take responsibility.
Responsibility, what a beautiful word. It means owning up to your response in a situation. Is that the Webster definition? No, but it is life’s definition. Think about it, go look at the word and you will see another word hidden in it. RESPONSE, our response to a matter dictates the environment of your inner self, which in turn creates the world around you. This is not always negative; sometimes you own up to being a peacemaker in a situation. Other times, though, our fallible nature gets the better of us and we react with a response that causes us to need to take responsibility for our actions.
This is a whole new mentality and it will take practice to retrain the brain to do this. It takes self-control and a whole lot of will to turn the problems of life into nothing but opportunities! This is what we want though, right? More opportunities? Well, dear friend, there are a million and one out there, in your every moment. We, in the split of a second, get to ask, “Will I look at this as a problem or an opportunity?” Let’s train in this together so that it will be our habit and mindset to see only opportunities.
