Out running the demons....

Beloved, this is not a blog, this is an open journal entry for myself. I would be selfish and foolish to think I am the only one to feel this way. So I am putting it out there, for any and all who can relate because you are not alone and there is a Mighty Warrior ready to win this war. Because He holds the victory. Oh how quickly and easy it is to forget. When the cold fingers of the enemy tap on our shoulder and the heat from the fire of the dragon of old burns. We start to run to escape the demons right on our heels.

"And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or satan, the deceiver of the whole world was thrown down to the earth and his angels were thrown down with him." REVE 12:9

Heart pounding and thumping like a drum resounding through all of creation, shouting of the fear inside. The ache that follows is proof that your heart is being hammered away with every beat. A million thoughts fill your mind as you try to understand all around you and also inside. How can one person handle all this? Well, you have tried, you have done everything you can but they are still right behind you. There are times of peace but it's short-lived when something happens and like a dinner bell, they come running. To feast on your soul and spirit, to drain every ounce of joy, peace, and life.

This may seem dramatic and dark, but this is what happens to us when the enemy has a grip on us. We all struggle with different things; there is not one person immune to issues. As the Bible says, "If we say we have no sin, we have deceived ourselves and the truth is not in us." We have all fallen short of His glory; we have all let the enemy have an open door before in our lives. We should not be walking in knowing sin (we will go over what sin is next time) and purposely using the gift of grace to our fleshly benefit. The chase of the demonic is always around us; whether you believe it or not, it is real. The Word refers to Satan as a "lion always on the prowl." He wants to steal, kill, and destroy you and I - your joy, hope, dreams, passion, calling, health, finances, love, and ultimately your life.

We are created to give love and to receive love. The greatest treasure the enemy wants to steal is the true, pure, holy, and authentic love of Yahweh. Love is the most powerful force in the world. With it, we create the most beautiful things or the most ugly. How can love create something ugly? The absence of it is the most harmful poison to drink. Love is the good medicine that cures the soul and spirit. This is why it is the thing the enemy attacks so much. Whether that be abuse, loss, absence, never feeling seen, never hearing it, or seeing it, always feeling like you don't deserve it or anything like this. If you have been led to believe that love is a joke, or that it is fake, or that love causes pain, I am so sorry. Love is light, life, and abundance. It is patient and kind along with so many other things. I want you to know that you are loved. Love heals!

The enemy wants you and I to be miserable just like him. Angry just like him, cold and hard just like him. Hurt and offended just like him. He wants us to join him in hell, burn with him.

You are more than the hurt that you have been through. You are more than all the disappointments in life. You are more than all that they said and even thought about you. You are more than all the walls that surround you.

We must reach a point where the chasing stops, where we realize that we can't outrun the demons. We can turn and face them, drop to our knees, and watch the saving power of the One who is always there. When we finally hold up the banner of love and proclaim His name, "YESHUA!" The demons must tremble before His name. They will see that all of Heaven stands ready to act on your behalf. So much better than our way. To outrun these demons, we must be still and kneel in Yeshua's love. And watch the deliverance that is at hand!

"The Spirit of Yahweh is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty to those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of Yahweh's favor." Luke 4:18
